What is OMG Network (OMG)?

OMG Network, formerly known as OmiseGo, is a decentralized, no-custodial scaling solution built on the Ethereum blockchain. As an Ethereum scaling solution, OMG Network is designed to allow its users to transfer ETH and ERC20 tokens much faster and cheaper than when transacting directly on the Ethereum network. OMG Network believes that Ethereum's key speed and fee barriers must be overcome before mainstream businesses can consider building their products and applications on the network. It ensures the security of assets thanks to the underlying Ethereum network. It also delivers on its promises to help reduce electricity usage by up to 99 percent compared to Ethereum and cut transaction fees by two-thirds.

OMG Network is powered by OMG, its own local government tokens that can be used as one of the payment methods for fees on its network and are eventually staked. In return for the rewards given to the users, the security of the network is helped.

Who/By Developed OMG Network?

OMG Network currently consists of a team of more than fifty employees scattered around the world. OMG Network was founded by Thai-born Vansa Chatikavanij. It also operates as a subsidiary of SYNQA, a Thailand-based financial technology company formerly known as Omise Holdings.
