What is Bitcoin Cash (BCH)?

Bitcoin Cash is a cryptocurrency derived from Bitcoin (BTC). Although its origin is the same, it is technically differentiated and has become a different currency. Similar to Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash is a blockchain secured by the Proof-of-Work algorithm.

It was formed in August 2017 due to the hard fork of the Bitcoin Blockchain network. The main reason for the hard fork was the increase in the capacity of Bitcoin blocks from 1 MB to 8 MB. This capacity, which has now increased to 32 MB, provides faster processing. Therefore, the transaction cost is also cheaper.

Miners are rewarded with transaction fees and block rewards from inflation. Bitcoin Cash, which is described as an altcoin, differs from Bitcoin not only with its technology but also with its community and philosophy. However, unlike Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash has evolved to have certain functions and additional applications.

Unlike Bitcoin, it has features such as dynamic difficulty adjustment, smart contract support, token issuance support. With the Simple Ledger Protocol (SLP), Bitcoin Cash can be secured by the blockchain.
